A few days after the World Championships, it’s your turn to take aim! Come and discover biathlon at the Puy Saint Vincent Nordic Centre during a fun, accessible day supervised by professionals.
An introductory session in the morning and early afternoon, followed by a challenge to round off the day in a friendly atmosphere.
The World Championships have just come to an end… so why not take this opportunity to experience the thrills of biathlon for yourself?
On 24 February, head to the Puy Saint Vincent Nordic ski area for a day entirely dedicated to discovering this iconic winter sport.
You don’t need to be a champion or even have any previous experience: after a briefing of around 10 minutes, everyone will be able to learn the basic techniques and have a go at shooting in a safe and friendly environment.
Two formats will be on offer to allow as many people as possible to take part:
Three instructors will be on hand to support participants, including Frédéric Jean, a former member of the French biathlon team, ex-coach of the French women’s team at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, a state-qualified coach and now a biathlon consultant for the L’Équipe channel.
-From 10.00 am to 3.00 pm, it’s time for the introductory session: an introduction to shooting, getting to grips with the equipment, technical advice and initial challenges, with the chance to progress at your own pace.
-Then, from 3.00 pm to 5.30 pm, a change of pace: time for the biathlon challenge! A chance to test your accuracy, compete against other participants and, above all, enjoy a fun, sporting experience with family or friends.
A day that’s accessible, friendly and inclusive, whether you’re a regular sports enthusiast, simply curious or a complete beginner.
Free of charge.
